Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterile and functioning
Assist surgeons during open-heart and vascular surgeries, monitoring patient vitals and responding to changes
Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered, maintaining accurate documentation
Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care from prep to recovery
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR or OR experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
Ability to scrub and circulate in cardiovascular surgeries

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and surgical procedures
Proficient in sterile technique and infection control protocols
Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
