Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift (primarily); flexibility required for occasional mid shifts and Open Heart call coverage

Hours per Week: 40

Bill Rate: $50,000 sign-on bonus

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care as a CVOR nurse on the Open Heart team
Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile operating room environment for cardiac procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and the perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes
Communicate compassionately with patients and families, explaining procedures and post-op expectations
Participate in call rotations and respond for Open Heart cases when scheduled

Qualifications

Current RN license (required)
Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience (required)
Cardiac Open-Heart/CVOR experience required
BSN preferred; candidates willing to commit to obtaining a BSN within three years are welcome

Education

BSN preferred (commitment to obtain within three years may be considered with relevant experience)

Knowledge & Skills

Deep familiarity with CVOR and open-heart surgical workflows
Strong sterile technique and perioperative best practices
Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills
Flexibility to handle variable schedules and on-call responsibilities
