Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Assist physicians and the procedural team during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Continuously monitor and assess patients’ hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control practices
• Administer medications and contrast agents safely, following protocol
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure smooth patient flow
• Provide clear, compassionate education and post-procedure instructions to patients and families

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license (North Carolina or applicable compact license)
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience (as listed in the job details)
• Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or interventional cardiology environment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and lab workflow
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry
• Skilled in sterile technique and procedural setup
• Competent in IV/medication administration and contrast handling
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond effectively in high-acuity situations
