Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert, compassionate critical care to patients in the Burn/Trauma/Surgical ICU
• Manage complex interventions such as wound care, EVD management and Massive Transfusion Protocols
• Lead and participate in code management and rapid response situations with confidence
• Monitor and operate critical care equipment while maintaining strict safety practices
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech EMR to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Support unit staffing and float to related critical care areas as needed to maintain high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (trauma, burn or surgical ICU experience required)
• Comfortable working 2:1 patient ratios in a high-acuity environment
• Experience with Meditech EMR strongly preferred
• BSN preferred; CCRN preferred
• Team-oriented, strong communicator with excellent critical thinking skills

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU nursing and critical care fundamentals
• Trauma ICU, Burn ICU and Surgical ICU experience
• Critical care equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Meditech EMR documentation and workflows
• Wound care, EVD management and Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP)
• Code management and emergency response
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to float to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU and PCU
