Location: Woodsville, NH

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem 12.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times and scheduled days vary; shift type: RN - Behavioral Health). Orientation required.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess behavioral health patients' clinical status and develop individualized care plans
- Provide compassionate, recovery-focused nursing care during each shift
- Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed to keep patients and staff safe
- Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate effective treatment
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on illness, coping strategies, and discharge planning
- Support a therapeutic environment that promotes dignity, respect, and patient engagement
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience or interest in behavioral health nursing
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to participate in required orientation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; dependable and patient-centered
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and psychiatric nursing skills
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Safe medication administration and monitoring
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Ability to work calmly in high-acuity or fast-paced situations
