Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic exams using standard digital imaging equipment
- Position patients safely and accurately to obtain high-quality images
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards
- Provide compassionate patient care and explain procedures clearly
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to support patient diagnosis
- Maintain accurate records, document exams, and manage images in PACS
- Participate in orientation and training to remain current with facility practices
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification preferred or registry-eligible
- State of Missouri radiologic technologist license required or ability to obtain
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist is a plus; new graduates may be considered
- Strong patient-care skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT certification or registry-eligible status
Knowledge & Skills
- Anatomy and proper radiographic positioning
- Operation of digital imaging systems and basic PACS workflow
- Radiation safety principles (ALARA) and infection control
- Clear communication with patients and clinical team members
- Basic computer skills and electronic medical record navigation
