Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with care and precision
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to radiation protection guidelines
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any issues promptly
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, verifying patient identity and procedure details
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to deliver timely, accurate imaging results
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient and imaging records in PACS and EMR systems
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active ARRT registration (Radiologic Technologist) or equivalent certification
• Louisiana state licensure or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Previous experience in diagnostic radiography preferred, but motivated new grads are welcome to apply
• Strong patient-facing skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Ability to lift and position patients as needed and to operate imaging equipment safely

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• ARRT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with radiographic positioning and exposure techniques
• Familiarity with PACS, EMR systems, and digital imaging workflows
• Solid understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control
• Good clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with clinicians and patients
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a busy department
