Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with care and professionalism
- Ensure high-quality images through proper positioning and technique
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort during every procedure
- Operate imaging equipment and maintain proper infection control practices
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the imaging team to support patient care
- Accurately document procedures and maintain clear patient records
- Troubleshoot basic imaging issues and escalate equipment concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent certification
- Active state radiography license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Strong patient care skills and professional bedside manner
- Comfortable using PACS and basic imaging software
- Willingness to follow facility policies, credentialing, and onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in conventional radiography positioning and exposure techniques
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and dose minimization
- Familiarity with PACS, imaging workflows, and electronic charting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle patient transfers and mobility considerations safely
- Attention to detail when reviewing images and documenting findings
