Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with skill and attention to detail
- Position patients correctly to capture high-quality images and minimize repeat exposures
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, following safety and quality protocols
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, explaining steps clearly
- Review images for proper technique and collaborate with radiologists when needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to privacy and documentation standards
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support excellent patient outcomes
Qualifications
- ARRT certification or registry-eligible (or state equivalent)
- Current Louisiana radiologic technologist license, or ability to obtain prior to start
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable with patient handling and basic mobility assistance
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree or equivalent preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
- Familiarity with PACS and digital imaging software
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices
- Ability to assess image quality and troubleshoot common technical issues
- Good interpersonal skills for working with patients and clinical teams
