Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, varied start times. Preferred: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (five 8-hour shifts) OR Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Alternative schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (four 10-hour shifts). Expectation: 1-2+ weekend shift coverages per month when primarily M-F.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and treat adult and geriatric inpatients with a range of acute conditions including post-operative joint replacement and orthopedic injuries
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address mobility, strength, pain management, and safe discharge goals
• Manage medically complex and critical care patients, including intubated or post-operative cardiovascular (CABG) cases when appropriate
• Provide skilled care for neurological and neurosurgical patients, including vestibular assessment and intervention as indicated
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care and clear communication with the team
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and therapists to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and recovery expectations
• Cover scheduled weekend shifts as needed and adapt to surgical schedule changes with professionalism and teamwork

Qualifications

• Current Ohio PT license and registry required; applicants cannot be in process
• Minimum and preferred: 2 years of Acute Care experience preferred
• Experience with inpatient orthopedic and post-operative joint replacement care preferred
• Comfort and experience treating neurosurgical, neurological, cardiovascular/CABG, vestibular, and medically complex/critical care patients
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred for efficient documentation
• Ability to work flexible day schedules and provide weekend coverage as needed
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork mindset
