Shift Type: Day shifts (daytime hours; exact start/end times vary by assignment) — full-time and part-time opportunities, may include weekday and occasional weekend coverage as needed (day)

Bill Rate: $55.51-$79.14/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide skilled physical therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders and state regulations
Document clinical findings, progress, and plans accurately and timely in the EMR
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Use strong clinical reasoning to prioritize and manage a diverse caseload and complex diagnoses
Educate patients and families on treatment goals, home programs, and safe functional mobility

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapy License in good standing
Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1+ year of experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills
Proficiency with computers and EMR systems; high attention to detail

Education

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient evaluation and assessment across acuity levels
Treatment planning and implementation
Clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
Clinical reasoning and problem-solving
Effective interdisciplinary communication
Familiarity with swing bed and skilled nursing workflows
