Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medications accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
• Perform sterile IV compounding oversight and verification using Dose Edge
• Dose and manage Vancomycin, Aminoglycoside and Anticoagulant therapies
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee Pyxis and Pak Edge operations
• Conduct medication reconciliation, review first doses and maintain emergency med boxes
• Collaborate with clinical teams on pain consults and complex medication regimens
• Document interventions and use the Meditech EMR to communicate care plans

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO) — active license required
• Minimum ~2 years of relevant pharmacy experience (as listed in the order)
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus and will be considered favorably

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication verification and sterile compounding best practices
• Proficiency with Dose Edge, Pyxis and Pak Edge systems
• Experience using Meditech EMR
• Strong clinical dosing skills for vancomycin, aminoglycosides and anticoagulants
• Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians
• Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy workflows and safety procedures
