Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely, following established protocols and radiation safety practices
• Perform patient assessments and provide compassionate care and clear instructions before, during, and after imaging
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to support timely, accurate diagnoses
• Maintain accurate documentation in the imaging information system and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Perform routine quality control and equipment checks to ensure optimal scanner performance
• Respond to on-call duties as scheduled and assist with emergent imaging needs when required

Qualifications

• Current ARRT RT (N) or NMTCB/CNMT registry credential required
• Current, unencumbered Oregon Nuclear Medicine license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Strong patient care skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Nuclear Medicine procedures including PET-CT imaging
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and proper handling of radiopharmaceuticals
• Skill in image acquisition, processing, and basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment
• Familiarity with PACS, imaging information systems, and electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to follow protocols, maintain documentation, and adhere to regulatory requirements
