Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment (Signa Artist 1.5T) to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Perform patient screening and MRI safety checks to ensure every scan is safe and comfortable
• Document exams accurately in Meditech and Centricity PACS so the care team has what they need
• Collaborate with radiologists and the imaging team to optimize protocols and deliver great patient care
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond promptly to department needs
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot basic issues, escalating when needed to minimize downtime
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication to reduce anxiety and improve the imaging experience

Qualifications

• Current MRI license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Approximately 2 years of MRI-related experience (as listed in the posting)
• Experience with Signa Artist 1.5T or similar MRI platforms preferred
• Familiarity with Centricity PACS and Meditech documentation systems
• Comfort with rotating schedules and one-week on-call responsibilities
• Strong patient-care skills and professional communication

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in MRI imaging protocols and patient positioning
• Knowledge of MRI safety screening and contrast administration basics
• Experience using PACS (Centricity) and electronic documentation (Meditech)
• Ability to troubleshoot imaging issues and work with biomedical teams
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation accurately
