Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform complex diagnostic testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain and document strict quality control procedures to ensure reliable patient results
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and best practices to protect patients and staff
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and testing issues, escalating when necessary to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with the laboratory team and clinical staff to ensure timely reporting and resolution of critical results
- Support operational excellence by multitasking across disciplines while prioritizing patient care and quality
Qualifications
- Current and active Nevada State General Supervisor license required
- Demonstrated proficiency in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology testing
- Ability to follow and enforce quality control and laboratory safety procedures
- Comfort with multitasking in a fast-paced lab environment
- Full-time availability and commitment to evening/night shift schedule
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in general laboratory techniques for Chemistry and Hematology
- Hands-on experience with blood bank procedures and serology
- Microbiology culture and identification skills
- Strong quality control, documentation, and troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Clear communication and teamwork skills to support clinical stakeholders
