Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and prepare them for their visit with professionalism
- Collect and document vital signs and basic patient information accurately
- Assist clinicians with exams and procedures, maintaining a calm, safe environment
- Perform point-of-care testing and document results per protocol
- Maintain organized, compliant patient records and ensure chart completeness
- Stock and prepare exam rooms and equipment to keep clinic flow efficient
- Communicate clearly with patients about next steps and follow-up instructions
- Participate in orientation and training, sharing feedback to improve workflows
Qualifications
- Current certification or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable with direct patient contact and working in a clinical setting
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
- Ability to pass background and health screenings as required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt during orientation and clinic needs
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with taking vitals and basic clinical measurements
- Comfort using electronic health records and documenting patient information
- Knowledge of infection control and basic clinical safety practices
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Basic phlebotomy or point-of-care testing experience is a plus
