Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and create a positive, comforting experience
- Take and document vitals, patient history, and chief concerns accurately
- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient exams
- Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic health record
- Coordinate patient flow, appointments, and basic administrative tasks
- Support patient education by reinforcing care instructions and next steps
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to work reliably for scheduled 4-hour shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency taking vitals and performing basic clinical procedures
- Familiarity with clinical workflows and patient intake processes
- Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy best practices
- Team-oriented, organized, and good time management
