Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate direct patient care consistent with LPN scope of practice
- Administer medications and document administration accurately
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and observe for changes in condition
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team to support care plans
- Perform treatments, wound care, and other procedures as assigned
- Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and support them
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (must be active or eligible in state)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain during orientation)
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour clinical shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
- Previous LPN experience in an acute care or hospital setting is a plus
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and safety practices
- Basic patient assessment and monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
