Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, making their day safer and more comfortable
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status, reporting any changes promptly to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using appropriate body mechanics and equipment
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in orientation and on-going training to maintain best practices

Qualifications

• Active LNA certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant) required or completion of an approved LNA program
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and participate in orientation
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Pass required background checks and meet facility immunization/health screening requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED; completion of an approved LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Attention to detail for accurate charting and reporting
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks during a shift
