Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and chart thoroughly
- Monitor residents' conditions and communicate changes to the care team promptly
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff to create and follow care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity
- Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and facility policies
- Engage residents in respectful, person-centered interactions to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Pennsylvania (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable, compassionate, and resident-focused attitude
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent vocational training (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
- Familiarity with skilled nursing care protocols and infection control
- Ability to assess resident needs and escalate concerns appropriately
- Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
- Teamwork, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
