Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate bedside care to assigned patients during overnight coverage
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and policy
• Monitor and document patient status, including vital signs and changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and communicate relevant updates
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed during the shift
• Respond promptly to patient and family concerns and escalate when appropriate
• Maintain accurate charting and ensure compliance with facility protocols
• Support a calm, healing environment during overnight hours

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Georgia (active and in good standing)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
• Previous nursing experience preferred, especially in acute or long-term care settings
• Comfortable managing priorities independently during overnight shifts
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team
• Proof of immunizations and background checks per facility policy

Education

• Completed accredited practical nursing program or equivalent diploma/certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment and recognition of clinical changes
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting
• Basic wound care and common nursing procedures
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a busy overnight environment
• Professionalism, empathy, and patient-centered communication
