Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care consistent with LPN scope of practice
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and promptly
• Perform routine nursing assessments and report changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians and interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record/EHR
• Support patient and family education with professionalism and empathy
• Adhere to infection control, safety and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Alabama, or ability to obtain license prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — current or willing to obtain
• Valid nursing school diploma/certificate for practical nursing
• Positive clinical experience in long-term care, acute care, or related settings is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, dependable attendance, and teamwork mindset
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements and background checks

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Strong vital signs assessment and basic patient assessment skills
• Proficient documentation and charting in an electronic health record
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Clear communication with patients, families and healthcare teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
