Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assessments on a 12-hour day shift
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient status and care interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition promptly and escalate concerns
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe care environment
• Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure (Licensed Practical Nurse) — active and unrestricted
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical setting and collaborating with a team
• Reliable, professional approach to patient care and documentation

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/Vocational Nursing certificate/diploma)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in medication administration and patient assessment
• Experience with wound care, vital signs, and basic clinical procedures
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff
• Solid charting skills and comfort using electronic health records
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during 12-hour shifts
