Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes promptly to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Support patient mobility, activities of daily living, and safety protocols
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional documentation in the patient record
- Follow infection control standards and facility policies to keep patients safe
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential; eligible for PA licensure preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous LPN experience in a clinical setting is a plus
- Ability to pass background and drug screening per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent training
- Completion of state LPN licensure requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and basic clinical nursing skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safety standards
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical environment
- Empathetic patient communication and family support
