Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments according to facility policies and care plans
• Monitor patients’ conditions, identify changes, and promptly communicate findings to the team
• Accurately document care, observations, and patient responses in the chart/EHR
• Assist patients with activities of daily living while maintaining dignity and comfort
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to support excellent outcomes
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential required
• Active nursing license or eligibility to practice in Maine (local licensure preferred)
• Previous LPN clinical experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Reliable transportation required — local assignment, Uber is not an option per facility note
• Ability to work the 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM shift and integrate into the facility’s team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• LPN/Licensed Practical Nurse diploma or certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and observation skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Comfortable with patient care tasks and ADL assistance
• Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Good time management, organization, and reliability
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting and standard nursing procedures
