Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and monitor patient status throughout the shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following facility policies
- Document patient care, assessments and interventions clearly in the medical record
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Perform wound care, basic procedures and routine clinical tasks with attention to safety
- Advocate for patients and communicate effectively with families and caregivers
Qualifications
- Active LPN licensure (eligible to practice in Georgia preferred)
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour clinical shifts and collaborating in a team-based setting
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach; prior long-term care or hospital experience is a plus
Education
- Graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) program; high school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic IV/PO knowledge
- Patient assessment and monitoring skills
- Clinical documentation and charting accuracy
- Infection control and safety best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and prioritize care
- Teamwork, adaptability and clear communication with patients and staff
