Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality practical nursing care to patients at Sandia Ridge Center
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policy
- Monitor patient status, document changes, and communicate effectively with the care team
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions to ensure continuity of care
- Support patient safety and comfort through thorough assessments and timely interventions
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
Qualifications
- Active LPN license valid in New Mexico
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Comfort and experience working 12+ hour shifts and providing hands-on patient care
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Local candidates only; must be able to commute to Sandia Ridge Center
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or certificate (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong basic nursing assessment and documentation skills
- Medication administration and basic IV/med tech familiarity
- Ability to recognize and escalate changes in patient condition
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Patient-centered approach, empathy, and effective interpersonal skills
