IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM), with occasional Saturday availability

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including GI/GJ tube placements, port insertions, angiograms, lumbar punctures, myelograms, nephrostomy tubes, stents, IVC filters, and blood patches
Assist in neuro endovascular procedures such as embolizations, stent placements, and stroke treatments
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, physicians, and other techs during sedation cases
Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment including Philips Allera and Medrad injector systems
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes

Qualifications

Must hold current ARRT (R) certification
Active Arizona MRTBE-CRT license required
Prior experience in interventional radiology highly preferred
VI certificate is a plus but not required
Neuro or scrub experience desirable; Level I trauma experience required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with Cerner EMR and DR (PACS) systems
Hands-on experience with Philips Allera and Medrad injector equipment
Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and neuro endovascular techniques
Understanding of sterile technique, sedation protocols, and patient monitoring
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
