Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic exams at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely and effectively, including CT equipment operation and fluoroscopy as assigned.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections with accuracy and care.
• Prepare patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications to ensure smooth, timely imaging procedures.
• Ensure patient positioning and patient care that prioritize safety, comfort, and diagnostic image quality.
• Maintain quality assurance, radiation protection, and infection control standards in accordance with department policy.
• Adhere to Enloe Medical Center’s Core Values and ARRT Standards of Ethics while contributing to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT) — required.
• Approved CPR certification — required.
• ARRT registration and a radiologic technologist fluoroscopy permit from the State of California to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Experience desired: two years diagnostic x-ray and one year CT experience (both desired but not strictly required).
• Desired certifications include venipuncture certification, radiographic contrast media certification, and advanced CT certification.

Education

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the State of California (explicit requirement).
• Approved CPR certification.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in CT imaging, radiography, patient positioning, and patient care.
• IV contrast administration and venipuncture techniques.
• Strong understanding of radiation protection, radiobiology, radiation physics, and quality assurance practices.
• Familiarity with CT equipment operation and specialized imaging techniques.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced clinical setting.
