Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Follow established CT protocols and adjust techniques as needed for diagnostic quality
• Verify patient identity, history, and imaging orders before each study
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and support staff to optimize care
• Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment; escalate technical issues promptly
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient and imaging records
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control policies at all times

Qualifications

• 1 year of CT experience (as listed in the job posting)
• ARRT (CT) certification preferred or registry-eligible
• State radiographer license (Florida) or ability to obtain state licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong patient care skills and ability to work independently on overnight shifts
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (typical requirement)
• Completion of an accredited CT technologist program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Familiarity with PACS, imaging workflow, and electronic medical records
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA
• Strong communication skills for patient interactions and team coordination
• Ability to troubleshoot common scanner issues and escalate appropriately
