Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging studies while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
• Operate CT equipment and optimize protocols to produce diagnostic images
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams clearly, and address concerns with compassion
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and institutional policies at all times
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to ensure timely, accurate imaging results
• Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and image management in PACS/DICOM
• Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and escalate maintenance needs when necessary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT imaging experience (as listed in the job posting)
• ARRT (R) certification and CT registry preferred or CT-certified technologist
• Current Florida radiologic technologist license or ability to obtain state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, accredited radiography program graduate, or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Experience with contrast administration and patient screening procedures
• Familiarity with PACS, DICOM standards, and image post-processing tools
• Excellent patient positioning and communication skills
• Solid understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control

This is a travel assignment based in Brandon, just east of Tampa.
