Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile cost center transactions accurately to support departmental budgets
• Monitor spending trends and flag variances to leadership in a timely, constructive way
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure expenses are coded correctly
• Prepare clear, actionable reports that help managers make informed decisions
• Support onboarding of temporary staff and ensure payroll/expense information is complete
• Help maintain compliance with hospital policies and assist with audit requests
• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal partners to resolve billing questions

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare finance, allied services, or cost center support
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment and managing competing priorities
• Experience with hospital billing, expense reconciliation, or department budget tracking preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills — you can explain numbers clearly
• Reliable, professional, and ready to represent UCF Lake Nona Hospital during your assignment

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of basic accounting and cost center principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data review and reporting
• Familiarity with hospital finance or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Meditech) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Good problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
