Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide sitter utilization support and serve as CNA support across floors when assigned
• Perform core patient care tasks: take vital signs, assist with feeding, ambulation, turning/positioning, and hourly rounding
• Work on telemetry units and assist with telemetry-related observations as directed by RN
• Document care accurately in EPIC and follow unit-specific charting processes
• Float between hospitals in the region when needed while maintaining a professional bedside manner
• Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, and the house supervisor to ensure safe patient assignments
• Complete unit orientation and required modules to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Washington CNA license (must be active and submit-able)
• BLS certification required
• Hospital experience required — minimum 1 year (job notes list 2 years in job details; hospital experience is mandatory)
• Comfort working 12-hour shifts and flexible to float between facilities
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and strong teamwork skills
• Familiarity with sitter utilization and basic telemetry unit workflow

Education

• CNA certification / Washington state CNA license
• BLS certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC charting and clinical documentation
• Telemetry awareness and ability to report changes to the RN
• Strong patient handling skills: transfers, ambulation, positioning
• Vital signs assessment and routine bedside care
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt to different unit patient populations and work fast-paced acute care
