Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor residents’ condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Assist with activities of daily living while preserving dignity and independence
- Document care accurately and clearly in resident charts and care plans
- Work collaboratively with the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Support a warm, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification required (must be valid in Pennsylvania)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and ability to pass facility onboarding
- Comfortable with hands-on patient care and routine lifting/transfer tasks
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented; prior long-term care experience a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
- Good communication skills with residents, families, and clinical team
- Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of infection control, safety protocols, and HIPAA principles
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
