Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, helping with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote resident independence
• Take and record vital signs and communicate changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support medication routines and mealtime assistance as directed by the care team
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control protocols
• Document care accurately and clearly so the team stays informed and residents get consistent support
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification or eligibility preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required health screenings
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented with good communication skills
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting residents

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic nursing care skills and knowledge of ADLs
• Vital signs monitoring and resident observation
• Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Clear documentation and charting practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Basic familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) a plus
