Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers while following safe patient handling practices
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in resident condition promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts and electronic records
• Support a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the care team to implement individualized care plans
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (or state equivalent) — must be in good standing
• Active CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living is preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and required pre-employment screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and state certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and infection control practices
• Comfort with performing ADLs and safe resident transfers
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition accurately
• Teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary staff
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
