Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist nursing staff with vital signs, bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Document resident condition and care provided accurately and timely
- Communicate changes in resident status to the clinical team promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Support residents emotionally and socially, promoting dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania
- Demonstrated experience in resident care or long-term care settings preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a care team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident care principles and infection control practices
- Skill in safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs and observations
- Good time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
- Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with residents and families
