Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, grooming and assisting with daily living activities
- Measure and record vital signs and report any concerning changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe patient transfers and maintain a secure, clean environment
- Support nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and timely documentation
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and families to enhance the care experience
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care and accurate information sharing
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and any facility-required health screenings
- Comfortable working as part of a team and following facility policies and procedures
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude toward patients
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and activities of daily living assistance
- Basic vital signs monitoring and observation skills
- Infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols
- Clear documentation and timely reporting of patient status
- Teamwork and effective communication with nurses, clinicians and support staff
- Professionalism, time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
