Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents and support their dignity
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate effectively with team members
- Follow infection control practices and uphold patient safety standards
- Participate in team huddles and care planning to improve resident outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting patients
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by facility
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident-centered care
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Basic documentation and charting skills
- Teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
- Comfort with mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
