Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility while promoting dignity
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Maintain clear, timely documentation to support continuity of care
• Follow infection control practices and facility safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Support a calm, respectful environment for residents, families and coworkers

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Certification valid for practice in Pennsylvania (state credential)
• Ability to pass background check and any facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar is a plus
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (if not held, facility may provide guidance)

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Infection control and safe patient handling
• Teamwork, time management and attention to detail
• Respectful communication with residents, families and staff
• Familiarity with HIPAA and resident privacy concepts
