Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs and report meaningful changes to the nursing team promptly
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents and families
• Help with safe transfers, ambulation and positioning to promote mobility
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control, safety protocols and facility policies to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists and family members to support coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification (must be valid for work in Pennsylvania)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained promptly after hire
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by the facility
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved CNA training program; current state CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe transfers
• Awareness of infection control and personal protective equipment (PPE) use
• Reliable documentation and reporting of resident condition
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare setting
