Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Document care, observations, and interventions clearly and professionally
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to support coordinated care
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or eligible and willing to obtain certification)
- Valid TB screening and up-to-date immunizations as required by the facility
- Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Reliable attendance and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and recognizing clinical changes
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic or paper charting
- Good communication, time management, and teamwork abilities
- Understanding of infection control and HIPAA privacy principles
