Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with daily living activities
- Monitor and document patient condition and report changes to clinical staff
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team
- Follow infection control policies and facility procedures to ensure safety
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or equivalent) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
- Active basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and personal care
- Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
- Ability to pass standard background and health screenings required by the facility
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing assistant skills and patient care techniques
- Basic charting and documentation practices
- Understanding of infection control and patient safety principles
- Teamwork and the ability to take direction from nursing staff
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
