Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team
• Accurately document care provided and resident responses
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Support mealtime assistance and basic feeding as needed
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and communicate respectfully with families

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania (required)
• Previous CNA experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and any required health screenings
• Reliable, punctual, and able to handle physical demands of resident care
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of resident-centered care and dignity-based practices
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a care team
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
