Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and report patient conditions and changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support hygienic needs, mobility, feeding, and comfort measures with dignity
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with nurses and care team
- Assist with safe patient transfers and follow infection control and safety protocols
- Contribute to a positive resident experience by treating each person with respect
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform patient transfers and stand for shifts
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to resident-centered care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic nursing care principles and resident hygiene
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Vital signs measurement and documentation best practices
- Infection control standards and PPE usage
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
