Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help with safe transfers and mobility support while following facility protocols
- Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for every patient
- Collaborate with nurses and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification for the state of Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with patient transfers and basic mobility assistance
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
- Previous experience in long-term care or a similar setting is a plus, but new CNAs are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills and patient care techniques
- Infection control and proper PPE use
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Accurate documentation and basic charting practices
- Time management in a fast-paced care environment
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
