Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility assistance
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with daily living activities and encourage resident independence while ensuring safety
- Maintain clean, safe and comfortable environments for residents
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams
- Document care activities promptly and accurately in facility records
- Support emergency procedures and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Active/state-appropriate nursing assistant registry entry for Pennsylvania
- Compliance with facility onboarding requirements (background check and immunizations)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude toward patients
- Ability to pass required screenings (TB test, drug screen) as part of onboarding
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic patient care techniques and activities of daily living
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic or paper charting
