Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote dignity
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control best practices
• Document care and observations clearly to support continuity and quality of care
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Build rapport with patients and families, offering comfort and clear communication

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (or equivalent) in good standing
• Ability to obtain or hold required state credentials for Pennsylvania employment
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated experience in direct patient care or long-term care settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care, transfers, and safe use of mobility equipment
• Knowledge of infection prevention, hand hygiene, and standard precautions
• Able to accurately observe and document changes in patient condition
• Comfortable working in fast-paced healthcare environments and prioritizing tasks
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and clinical teams
