Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
- Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support nursing staff with safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care
- Document care activities accurately in patient records and follow care plans
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or able to obtain)
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks
- Comfort working in a fast-paced care environment and putting patient comfort first
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of basic patient care and ADLs
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families
- Familiarity with infection control practices and proper PPE use
- Basic documentation skills and comfort learning electronic health records
