Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control procedures
- Document care accurately in the patient chart and communicate effectively with the care team
- Support patients’ comfort and dignity through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — Georgia certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience providing direct patient care (facility experience a plus)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, teamwork-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in basic patient care: bathing, feeding, toileting, mobility assistance
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Comfortable with electronic health record documentation or charting
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
